In a major push to strengthen adventure tourism in Himachal Pradesh, the State Government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced plans to construct Asia\u2019s longest zipline project at Naddi in Kangra district. The ambitious initiative is aimed at positioning the region as a premier destination for thrill-seekers while boosting the local economy.<\/p>\n

The proposed Naddi Zipline Project, estimated to cost Rs. 7.41 crore, will span approximately 4.3 kilometres across the scenic Dhauladhar valley. Designed as a landmark adventure tourism attraction, the project will feature four stations \u2014 Gallu (starting point), Ball village, Naddi, and Maggie Point Khad (terminating point). The zipline will offer visitors an exhilarating aerial view of the majestic Dhauladhar mountain ranges and the lush landscapes of the Kangra valley.<\/p>\n

The project is planned to be developed at the popular Naddi View Point near Dharamshala, a site widely known for its panoramic vistas and tranquil surroundings. Once operational, the zipline is expected to significantly enhance tourism infrastructure in the region and attract adventure enthusiasts from across the country and abroad. The government has set a target of completing the project within 36 months.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the broader vision behind the initiative, the Chief Minister stated that the State Government has accorded Kangra district the status of \u201cTourism Capital\u201d and is implementing multiple measures to promote sustainable tourism development.
