Defending champions India national cricket team secured a thrilling seven-run victory over England national cricket team in the second semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Thursday, booking their place in the tournament final.<\/p>\n

The high-scoring clash in Mumbai saw India put up a massive total of 253 runs before restricting England to 246 for seven in their 20 overs.<\/p>\n

India will now face New Zealand national cricket team in the final scheduled for Sunday.<\/p>\n

Samson Leads India\u2019s Batting Charge<\/h3>\n

After being sent in to bat, India produced an explosive batting performance led by opener Sanju Samson, who smashed a blistering 89 runs off just 42 balls. His innings included seven towering sixes and eight boundaries, setting the foundation for India\u2019s imposing total.<\/p>\n

Samson received strong support from several middle-order batters. Shivam Dube contributed a quick 43 runs, while Ishan Kishan added 39. All-rounder Hardik Pandya chipped in with a rapid 27, and Tilak Varma scored a handy 21 to push India to a formidable 253 for seven in their allotted 20 overs.<\/p>\n

For England, Will Jacks and Adil Rashid were the most successful bowlers, claiming two wickets each while trying to contain the Indian batting onslaught.<\/p>\n

Bethell\u2019s Heroics Not Enough for England<\/h3>\n

In response, England launched an aggressive chase but fell just short despite a sensational century by Jacob Bethell. The young batter played a remarkable knock of 105 runs from only 48 balls, keeping England in the hunt throughout the innings.<\/p>\n

However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to maintain the required scoring rate against India\u2019s bowling attack.<\/p>\n

Among the Indian bowlers, Hardik Pandya stood out with figures of 2 for 38, while Jasprit Bumrah delivered an economical spell, finishing with 1 for 33. Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy also picked up one wicket each to restrict England to 246 for seven.<\/p>\n

India March into Final<\/h3>\n

With the win, India advanced to the final of the tournament where they will take on New Zealand in what promises to be a highly anticipated title clash. The victory keeps India\u2019s hopes alive for successfully defending their T20 World Cup crown.<\/p>\n
