The project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,500 crore, is expected to enhance regional connectivity, boost trade, and attract tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister called it \u201ca day of new hope and achievement\u201d for the Hadoti region. Highlighting Kota\u2019s status as a hub of education, energy, and traditional industries such as <strong>Kota Doria sarees<\/strong>, <strong>Kota stone<\/strong>, and <strong>Bundi Basmati rice<\/strong>, he said the airport will amplify opportunities for local businesses and artisans while easing travel that previously required journeys to Jaipur or Jodhpur.<\/p>\n<p>PM Modi also emphasized the broader development of Kota, including modernization of railway stations under the <strong>Amrit Bharat Station Scheme<\/strong> and improved road connectivity via the <strong>Delhi-Mumbai Expressway<\/strong>, which passes through Kota and Bundi. He noted that these combined initiatives\u2014air, rail, and road connectivity\u2014would accelerate trade, tourism, and youth employment in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to spiritual and ecological landmarks like Shri Mathuradhish Ji, Garadia Mahadev, and Mukundara Hills, the Prime Minister said enhanced air connectivity would open Hadoti to global tourism, directly benefiting the local economy. He also acknowledged the role of Kota MP and Lok Sabha Speaker <strong>Om Birla<\/strong> in ensuring the timely execution of development projects.<\/p>\n<p>Modi concluded by citing the growth of India\u2019s airport network from 70 in 2014 to over 160 today, expressing confidence that Kota Airport would similarly drive economic momentum.
