CM Sukhu Orders Fast-Tracking of Principal Promotions in Government Schools.

In a significant move aimed at bolstering the education system in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today directed the Education Department to expedite the long-pending promotion process for the posts of Principal in Government Senior Secondary Schools.
Chairing a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Education Department, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of timely promotions for deserving educators. “The welfare of employees has always remained the topmost priority of our government, and we are making all possible efforts in this direction,” he stated.
CM Sukhu underlined the vital role government employees play in the development of the state, particularly in sectors like education. He stressed that ensuring timely benefits and career progression for teachers is essential not only for employee morale but also for maintaining the quality of education in government schools.
Highlighting the strides the state has made in the education sector, the Chief Minister said that several reforms introduced by the present government are already yielding positive results. Himachal Pradesh has shown remarkable improvement in national education rankings, which he attributed to the commitment of teachers and administrators across the state.
He further noted that since assuming office, the state government has launched multiple innovative initiatives focused on strengthening the education system and promoting the holistic development of students. “The education system of Himachal Pradesh is now gaining recognition at the national level, and our teachers are playing a pivotal role in this achievement,” he added.
