Kya Hua Tera Vada, asks social and environment activist Sonam Wangchuk from the Center Government over non inclusion of UT Ladakh in sixth schedule and delay in restoration of statehood.

Delhi:
Sonam Wangchuk, a leading social and environment activist of Union Territory Ladakh has asked the central government Kya Hua Tera Vada, what happened to your promise. His reference is clear that the BJP had promised to include UT Ladakh in sixth schedule of Indian Constitution and will restore state hood here. But the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi neither included the UT Ladakh in sixth schedule and nor restored the statehood, which irked the residents of Ladakh.
Sonam Wangchuk is leading protest against the central government, who recently held a 21 day fast unto death in Ladakh to demand sixth schedule for Ladakh and restoration of statehood. He got huge support from the people of Ladakh as well as outside the Ladakh.
Sonam Wangchuk alleged that the people of Ladakh are apprehensive that their land will be occupied by the industrialists to setup big industries in Ladakh, which will have drastic impact on the ecology of this eco-fragile region.
He said that “admiring my beautiful little village Uleytokpo from UT Ladakh and Iam feeling very sad for our nomadic pashmina herders, who are not as lucky and they are losing their land to industrial plants and Chinese incursion.”
He said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently said that not even an inch of land has been lost in Ladakh.
Wangchuk asked the Amit Shah that were shepherds lying who were not able to access on their pastures, where earlier they used to graze their cattle in the area. Now Chinese military is not giving them access in that area.
“Earlier in the last meeting of Ministry of Home Affairs with Ladakhi leaders on March 4, Home Minister Amit Shah had said “even if the Prime Minister asks me I would not give you sixth Schedule or Statehood For Ladakh” said Wangchuk.
“Do election manifestos mean anything in this country? Wangchuk questioned.
