PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh Lays Foundation Stone for Indoor Stadium in Doon Constituency, Announces Boost to Rural Infrastructure.

In a significant push toward rural development and youth empowerment, Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh yesterday laid the foundation stone for a new indoor stadium in Kuthar, located within the Doon assembly constituency of Himachal Pradesh.
The project has received an initial financial allocation of Rs. 69 lakh as its first installment, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a key infrastructure development for the region. The indoor stadium aims to provide modern sports facilities to local youth, encouraging physical development and nurturing sporting talent in rural areas.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure across Himachal Pradesh, particularly in rural and hilly regions. He emphasized that improving road connectivity remains a top priority, with continuous efforts underway to expand and upgrade the rural road network.
In a major administrative announcement, Singh also revealed plans to establish a separate sub-division of the Public Works Department dedicated specifically to the hilly areas of the region. This move is expected to accelerate development projects and ensure more efficient execution of infrastructure works in challenging terrains.
During the program, the Minister also participated in youth-oriented initiatives, where he honored students for their achievements and encouraged them to strive for excellence. He expressed confidence in the younger generation and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
