US First Lady Melania Trump has strongly criticized late-night host , accusing him of spreading “hateful and divisive rhetoric” and calling on to take action.
In a sharply worded statement, Melania Trump expressed concern over what she described as increasingly hostile and harmful commentary, particularly referencing remarks made by Kimmel about her family. She stated that such monologues go beyond comedy and contribute to deepening political divisions within the United States.
“Kimmel’s rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family is not comedy—his words are corrosive and worsen the political climate in America,” she said.
The First Lady further argued that individuals in influential media positions should not be allowed to broadcast content that, in her view, promotes negativity and hostility. She questioned whether such voices should continue to have access to millions of households each evening.
In her remarks, she also accused the network of shielding the comedian. “A coward hides behind ABC, knowing the network will continue to protect him,” she said, adding that the broadcaster must take responsibility for the content it airs.
