Health care centers under attack in Gaza, famine threat loomed large, warn UN agency.

Health care centers are under constant attack by Israeli army, which is offensive against Palestinian people after Hamas militants had attacked in Israeli territory on October 7 and killed many Israeli residents and many of them were held hostage.
According to World Health Organisation spokesperson Tarik Jaserevic, a total of 645 people have died since October 7 and another 818 were injured as a result of these incidents. His comments came amid allegations that a nurse was shot and critically injured while inside an operating theatre at a hospital in Khan Younis.
“These attacks have affected 98 healthcare facilities, including 27 hospitals damaged out of 36, and affected 90 ambulances, including 50 which sustained damage,” he added.
UN aid workers said that famine threat has loomed large in Gaza and situation will become grim if war continues in the coming days. This region is, facing acute shortage of food supply because of ongoing war.
“This is food for birds and animals, but this is the only alternative. I came to grind wheat and corn to bake because there is no flour” said Abdul Majeed Salman, Displaced Person, Jabalia Camp, Gaza.
