Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh Redresses Public Grievances in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir.

Today, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology; Earth Sciences; PMO; Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions; Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh presided over a Janata darbaar in Kishtwar district, Jammu & Kashmir. The event, attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav and Managing Director of NHPC R.P. Goyal, focused on addressing public grievances and expediting developmental initiatives in the region.
Dr. Jitendra Singh actively engaged with citizens, promptly resolving several issues on the spot, which garnered widespread appreciation for his proactive leadership. He directed the administration to take immediate actions on various concerns raised by the public, ensuring swift redressal.
Highlighting the region’s developmental strides under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Dr. Jitendra Singh underscored the rapid progress in hydroelectric power projects. He noted the imminent completion of several major projects including the 1000 MW Pakal Dul and the 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric projects by 2025. Additionally, the revival of the 850 MW Ratle project in collaboration with the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir signifies a robust push towards enhancing power generation capacity.
Addressing the gathered audience, Dr. Jitendra Singh praised PM Modi’s vision for the region, citing initiatives such as the establishment of a new airport under the Udaan scheme, extensive road connectivity through PMGSY roads, and the expansion of educational infrastructure with schools and degree colleges. These measures are set to bolster economic and social development across Kishtwar district.
Dr. Jitendra Singh also commended the significant reduction in militancy in the district, expressing the government’s commitment to achieving complete eradication. He emphasized the strengthening of Village Defence Groups as part of efforts to enhance local security and empower community resilience against external threats.
The Janata darbaar witnessed active participation from local officials and senior officers who collectively addressed citizen concerns and assured timely resolution of pending issues. Dr. Jitendra Singh reiterated his dedication to advancing the region’s prosperity through comprehensive developmental policies.
