People’s Representatives Key to Realising Viksit and Self-Reliant India by 2047: Rakesh Jamwal.

Sundernagar MLA and BJP Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal participated in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region North Zone-II Conference held in Chandigarh, where he joined distinguished parliamentary leaders and elected representatives from across the country to deliberate on strengthening democratic institutions and advancing the vision of a developed and self-reliant India by 2047.

The conference witnessed the participation of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, along with Speakers, Presiding Officers, MLAs, and parliamentary representatives from various states and Union Territories, including Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Jamwal emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is progressing rapidly towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047. He stated that elected representatives, policymakers, and an aware and participative society have a crucial role to play in achieving this ambitious national goal.

Jamwal noted that the conference featured several sessions focused on the theme of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” where participants engaged in extensive discussions on future challenges, emerging opportunities, and the responsibilities of public representatives in shaping the nation’s development trajectory. He highlighted that the deliberations provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and sharing best practices related to governance, legislative functioning, and public welfare.

The Sundernagar MLA further stated that interactions with Presiding Officers, legislators, and parliamentary delegates from different states facilitated meaningful discussions on strengthening democratic institutions, enhancing parliamentary traditions, and ensuring more effective governance. According to him, such conferences play an important role in fostering better coordination among states and contribute significantly to the development of innovative approaches to good governance.

Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” Jamwal said that the dream of a developed India by 2047 can only be realised through the active participation of every section of society. He stressed that public representatives must ensure inclusive development by taking all communities along in the nation-building process.

“Viksit Bharat is not merely the vision of the government but a collective aspiration of 140 crore Indians. The success of this mission depends on the combined efforts of citizens, policymakers, and elected representatives working together towards a common goal,” he said.

Jamwal also expressed gratitude to the organisers for successfully conducting the conference, stating that such platforms strengthen democratic values, promote inter-state cooperation, and enhance the effectiveness of public representatives in contributing to nation-building and public service.

The CPA North Zone-II Conference served as an important forum for exchanging legislative experiences and exploring strategies to make democratic institutions more responsive, transparent, and effective in meeting the aspirations of the people while advancing India’s long-term development goals.
