Netanyahu Says Israel Intensifying Operations Across Gaza, Lebanon and West Bank Amid Ongoing Security Threats.

Jerusalem:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said Israel is continuing its military and counterterrorism operations on multiple fronts, highlighting ongoing actions in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and the West Bank as security forces confront what he described as persistent terrorist threats.

Speaking at the start of a government meeting, Netanyahu said Israeli security agencies are working continuously to prevent attacks across the country. Referring to a deadly incident earlier in the day, he stated that an attacker managed to reach Kochav Yair, where one Israeli citizen was killed and several others were injured before security personnel neutralized the suspect.

The Prime Minister praised local rapid-response teams and officers of the Israel Police for their swift response. He also noted that security forces arrested an alleged accomplice connected to the attack.

Operations Continue in Gaza

Addressing the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said Israeli forces are increasing military pressure on Hamas and expanding their operational control over territory within the enclave.

According to the Prime Minister, Israeli forces currently control more than 60 percent of Gaza’s territory and are expected to expand that control further. He said military operations are aimed at preventing Hamas from rebuilding its military capabilities, launching attacks against Israel, or rearming its fighters.

Netanyahu also claimed that Israeli forces continue to target and eliminate senior Hamas commanders as part of their ongoing campaign.

Military Activity Along Lebanon Border

Turning to the northern front, Netanyahu outlined recent military operations in Lebanon against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

He stated that Israeli forces had killed approximately 350 militants during operations over the past week and had captured the strategic Beaufort Ridge area. According to Netanyahu, troops discovered extensive underground infrastructure in the region that was allegedly used by militant groups.

The Prime Minister added that Israeli forces are continuing efforts to dismantle what he described as terrorist infrastructure in villages near the Israeli-Lebanese border.

Warning Against Future Attacks

Netanyahu reiterated that Israel would not tolerate attacks on its territory or civilian communities and pledged continued military action against groups threatening Israeli security.

“We will not allow firing at our territory or our communities, and we will act accordingly,” he said.

The remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions and continued military operations involving Israel, Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah along the Lebanese border, as diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflicts remain under discussion internationally.
