The organisers of the Northern Beauty Pageant have announced ambitious plans to take the platform from a national stage to the international level, marking a major milestone in its journey from Himachal Pradesh to global recognition.

Addressing a press conference in Mandi, organiser Amit Bhatia expressed gratitude to sponsors, faculty members, and supporters, crediting them for the successful completion of the pageant’s third season. He said the competition began three years ago as a small initiative with the vision of creating a transparent platform where real talent is recognised in the fashion and entertainment industry.

Bhatia highlighted that this year’s edition witnessed participation from across India, with around 1,100 auditions received. After multiple rounds of selection, nearly 600 contestants advanced to the main phase, with top finalists competing in the grand finale. He added that the competition was extremely tough, leading to an unusual decision to crown two winners each in both the Miss and Mister Northern India categories.

He also thanked key supporters and partners, including grooming mentor Anushka Dutta, Himachal Pradesh’s first Miss Universe Himachal, along with several long-time collaborators and institutions that contributed to the pageant’s success. He emphasised that transparency and fairness remain central to the competition’s judging process, despite challenges often associated with such events.

Speaking about the cultural dimension of the pageant, Bhatia shared that this year the organisers also introduced a devotional initiative aimed at connecting youth with cultural and spiritual traditions through modified devotional performances.

He further revealed that the pageant, which started as a Himachal-based initiative, has now successfully expanded to the national level and is preparing for its international debut. “The response we have received over three seasons has been overwhelming. Our next goal is to take Northern to the global stage,” he said.

Bhatia also mentioned that Himachal Pradesh’s rising pageant talent, including recent winners, is being groomed to represent India at international platforms, further strengthening the state’s presence in global beauty and talent competitions.

Raja Singh Malohtra, a prominent businessman, social worker and sports lover, who is the backbone of this event, asserted that “I have been associated with Amit Bhatia for the last 14 years. During this journey, we have seen many challenges, but it is a matter of pride that a platform like ‘Northern’ has grown from Himachal Pradesh to the national level and is now heading towards even bigger achievements.”

“The biggest strength of this show is its transparency and fairness. There is no scope for bias here, which sets it apart from other competitions. We are proud that this platform has reached such a significant stage, and I am confident it will achieve even greater heights in the future” he remarked.

With growing participation, increasing recognition, and expanding opportunities, the Northern Beauty Pageant is now set to evolve into an international platform showcasing Indian talent to the world.
