Jitesh Sharma of Mandi Achieves Milestone as Deputy Superintendent of Police in CAPF.

Jitesh Sharma from the serene village of Ghaur in Rewalsar sub-tehsil has achieved a significant career milestone by being selected as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Central Armed Police Forces. This achievement, finalized in October 2023, was marked by his graduation from the prestigious Internal Security Academy in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, after a rigorous 33-month training program.
On Saturday, Jitesh, along with 28 other officers, received their degrees in a grand ceremony where he was the sole representative from Himachal Pradesh.
During the Pipping Ceremony, his parents had the honor of pinning the Gazetted Officer rank on him, with the chief guest, IG Mr. Akhilesh Prasad, DIG, and other distinguished officers in attendance.
Jitesh’s educational journey is equally notable. He completed his schooling at local government schools in Chauki Chandrahan and Rewalsar, and earned a bachelor’s degree from HPU Shimla. He further pursued a master’s degree in Computer Science from Kurukshetra University and obtained additional qualifications in Cyber and Information Security. Currently, he is working towards a postgraduate diploma in Internal Security and Management.
Prior to this role, Jitesh served with distinction in various capacities, including a notable 14-year tenure with the CRPF. His service has been recognized with the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training. Jitesh’s career reflects his dedication to public service and commitment to excellence.
Hailing from a family devoted to national service, with his father being an Ex-Serviceman and his younger brother currently serving in the Indian Army, Jitesh Sharma’s journey from a small village to a Gazetted Officer serves as an inspiring example for the youth of Himachal Pradesh.
