Prof. Anupama Singh Appointed State President of Ekal Abhiyan Himachal Pradesh Mahila Prakoshth.

Noted educationist and social worker Prof. Anupama Singh has been appointed as the State President of the Ekal Abhiyan Himachal Pradesh Mahila Prakoshth (Women’s Wing). The appointment recognizes her contribution to nation-building, education, social service, and women’s empowerment.
Ekal Abhiyan is one of India’s largest social initiatives working in rural and tribal areas to promote education, value-based learning, healthcare, self-reliance, and women’s empowerment. Through its extensive grassroots network, the organization strives to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society while strengthening the ideals of service, dedication, and social harmony.
Expressing gratitude to the national leadership of the organization for entrusting her with the responsibility, Prof. Anupama Singh described the appointment as both an honour and a significant opportunity to contribute to nation-building. She said she would work with complete commitment and dedication to organize and empower women across Himachal Pradesh while promoting the values of service, cultural awareness, social harmony, rural development, and the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
Highlighting the importance of women’s participation in social development, Prof. Singh said, “An empowered woman is the foundation of an empowered family, an empowered society, and ultimately, a strong nation.” She added that collective efforts to strengthen women’s leadership and participation would play a vital role in achieving sustainable and inclusive development.
