CM Reviews Progress of Himachal Niketan Building at Dwarka, Directs Timely Completion.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday visited Himachal Niketan at Dwarka, New Delhi, and reviewed the progress of the building project, which is nearing completion. He took detailed stock of the ongoing construction and directed the concerned officers to complete all remaining finishing works within the stipulated timeframe.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the facility should be made functional at the earliest so that it could be dedicated to the people of Himachal Pradesh visiting the national capital.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Niketan would provide comfortable and quality accommodation to people from the state who visit Delhi, particularly those coming for medical treatment, education and other important purposes. He said the facility had been designed to provide almost four-star category amenities and would serve as an important support system for Himachalis travelling to the national capital.
Constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs. 190 crore, Himachal Niketan will have 107 rooms and a range of facilities aimed at meeting the needs of visitors. These include a restaurant, banquet hall, two multipurpose halls, a meeting hall and student dormitories.
The building will also have adequate parking facilities, landscaped gardens, EV charging stations and other modern amenities, making it a comprehensive accommodation facility for Himachal Pradesh residents in Delhi.
The Chief Minister said the project was of considerable importance to the people of the state and stressed that the remaining works must be completed within the prescribed timeframe without compromising on quality. He directed the officers to maintain the required construction and finishing standards while expediting the work.
MLA Suresh Kumar, Chief Engineer Vijay Chaudhary, Superintending Engineer Deepak Raj Chauhan and senior officers of the state government accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit.
