Ayodhya Temple Theft Betrayal of People’s Faith, Says Former Minister Rangila Ram Rao.

Shimla:

Former Himachal Pradesh minister Rangila Ram Rao has described the alleged theft at the Lord Rama temple in Ayodhya as not merely a case involving money, gold and silver ornaments, but a serious betrayal of the faith and sentiments of devotees.

Rao said devotees had donated cash and valuable gold and silver ornaments to the temple out of their deep religious faith and devotion to Lord Rama. He maintained that any misuse or theft of these offerings amounted to a grave violation of the trust placed by devotees in the temple administration.

Alleging that the robbery took place at different levels, Rao called for a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the matter. He demanded that the case be probed by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court to ensure transparency and establish accountability.

Rao also demanded stringent punishment for those found involved in the alleged theft, saying that the guilty should face the harshest possible action under the law.

He further alleged that some major offenders were still outside the police net and urged the authorities to identify and arrest them at the earliest.

Rao said the investigation should uncover the complete truth and ensure that those responsible for hurting the religious sentiments and trust of devotees are brought to justice.
