Lalit Kala Akademi Announces 20 Awards at 65th National Exhibition of Art.

The Lalit Kala Akademi, National Academy of Art, has announced 20 Lalit Kala Akademi Awards at the 65th National Exhibition of Art (NEA), one of India’s prestigious annual exhibitions showcasing contemporary visual art.
The exhibition provides a national platform for artists to present their creative practices while offering audiences an opportunity to engage with the diverse and evolving visual arts landscape of the country.
The 65th National Exhibition of Art received an overwhelming response from artists across India. According to the Lalit Kala Akademi, a total of 6,175 artworks were received from 2,495 artists representing 27 States and Union Territories.
Following a rigorous selection process, the First-Tier Jury selected 270 artworks for display at the exhibition. The selected works represent a broad spectrum of artistic practices, materials and techniques, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and mixed media.
The exhibition highlights the richness of contemporary Indian artistic expression and reflects the growing engagement of artists with new materials, ideas and forms.
A Second-Tier Jury was constituted to select the award-winning works. The jury selected 20 artworks by 20 artists for the Lalit Kala Akademi Awards.

Exhibition Highlights Contemporary Indian Art
