Rs. 58.25 Crore Sanctioned for Development Works in Dharampur.
Shimla:
BJP State Working Committee member Rajat Thakur has expressed gratitude to the Central Government for sanctioning Rs. 58.25 crore for various development works in the Dharampur Assembly constituency of Mandi district. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur and the Central Government for providing the funds.
Thakur said the sanctioned amount would help accelerate development and facilitate the completion of long-pending works in the region. He urged the concerned departments to ensure that the funds are utilised strictly for the purposes for which they have been sanctioned and are not diverted to other works.
According to Thakur, the allocation includes Rs. 20 crore for the Khala area, Rs. 10 crore for Dharampur-Sandhol, Rs. 5 crore for Dharampur-Marhi-Laungani, Rs. 12 crore for the Sandhol-Tihra area and Rs. 11 crore for Garli-Paplog.
He stressed the need to maintain transparency, quality and accountability in the execution of all development projects. Field engineers and departmental officials, he said, should regularly inspect works on site and verify the quality of construction material and compliance with prescribed standards.
Thakur also urged officials to ensure that projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He said proper utilisation of the sanctioned funds would help strengthen infrastructure and improve facilities for residents of Dharampur.
He particularly emphasised that monitoring should not remain confined to paperwork and that officials should visit project sites regularly to assess progress and quality. He said the funds should result in visible development on the ground and directly benefit the people of the constituency.
Thakur said Dharampur requires improvements in roads, drinking water facilities, bridges and other infrastructure, and urged departments to use the available resources efficiently to accelerate these works.
