Congress leader Sohan Lal Thakur Assures Efforts to Fill Vacant Teaching Posts at GMS Khural in Mandi.

A delegation from the Sundernagar Assembly constituency of Mandi district met senior Congress leader and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sohan Lal Thakur, urging the immediate filling of vacant teaching posts at Government Middle School (GMS) Khural.
The delegation included Zila Parishad member Mohit Thakur, the vice-president of Salapad Colony Gram Panchayat, School Management Committee (SMC) Khural president and other committee members. They highlighted the shortage of teachers at the school and expressed concern over its impact on students’ education.
According to the delegation, key positions, including Head Teacher (HT) and Shastri, along with other important teaching posts, are currently vacant. The shortage has affected the smooth functioning of academic activities, raising concerns about the quality of education being provided to students.
The representatives urged the authorities to fill all vacant positions without delay, emphasising that timely teacher appointments are essential to safeguard students’ academic interests and ensure quality education.
During the meeting, Sohan Lal Thakur assured the delegation that he would raise the matter prominently before the government and make every possible effort to ensure that the vacant posts are filled at the earliest.
The delegation expressed hope that the government would take prompt action to address the shortage and strengthen the education system at GMS Khural.
