CM Inaugurates Fire Sub-Station and Inspects Sports Complex in Nadaun.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated a new Fire Sub-Station in Nadaun, Hamirpur district, aimed at improving fire safety measures in the region. The facility, equipped with two fire tenders, will enhance the local fire response capabilities and ensure quicker assistance during emergencies.
The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to modernizing fire services across Himachal Pradesh, announcing the release of Rs. 19.40 crore as the first installment for this purpose. He assured that there would be no shortage of funds for the modernization of the Fire Department.
Sukhu highlighted the state’s ongoing efforts to implement various welfare programs designed to benefit the general public, encouraging citizens to take advantage of these schemes to strengthen their economic conditions.
Additionally, Sukhu inspected the ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art multipurpose sports complex at Kharidi, Nadaun. With an investment of Rs. 65 crore, the complex will provide world-class infrastructure for sports enthusiasts. The facilities include an eight-lane swimming pool, a shooting range, and dedicated spaces for wrestling, boxing, Kabaddi, yoga, table tennis, and badminton.
He directed authorities to expedite the construction and emphasized that this complex, along with similar ones being developed across the state, would help channel the energy of youth in a positive direction, fostering physical and mental well-being while combating drug abuse.
The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by the people upon his arrival in Nadaun, and several delegations met with him during the event. Key dignitaries, including MLAs Sanjay Awasthi, Ranjit Singh Rana, Suresh Kumar, and others, were also present at the ceremony.
