Youth Congress Offers Rs. 15,000 Reward to Combat Heroin Trade in Seraj Valley in Mandi.

In a bid to combat the growing menace of heroin trade in the Seraj Valley, the Youth Congress of Seraj has announced a reward of Rs. 15,000 for anyone who provides credible information about drug suppliers in the region. The initiative aims to curb the rising illicit drug trade that has been severely impacting the youth of the area.
Tarun Thakur, Vice President of the State Youth Congress and other youth congress activists from Seraj Youth Congress like Gopal Sehgal, Bhanu Partap Singh , Advocate Pawan Thakur, Ghanshyam Chauhan, Jyoti Prakash, Lal singh, Uttam Singh and Yogesh Chauhan , stated that the increasing spread of heroin is a serious concern that is ruining the lives of many young people in the state. They emphasized the importance of involving the local community in the fight against drug abuse, encouraging them to come forward with any information about drug offenders.
The Youth Congress has assured that the identity of the informers will be kept confidential, and the information can be shared either directly with the police or with any office bearer of the Youth Congress Seraj.
Tarun Thakur highlighted that this initiative is just the beginning of a larger campaign that will be launched across the state, aiming to eliminate drug-related crimes and protect the youth from the dangers of substance abuse.
“We believe that the involvement of the community is crucial to tackle this issue effectively. Through this reward program, we hope to create a sense of responsibility among the local residents and provide them with an incentive to help us root out the drug suppliers,” Thakur said.
The Youth Congress also urged the state government to take stronger action against the heroin trade and implement stricter measures to safeguard the future of the state’s youth. This initiative is seen as a positive step towards curbing the drug menace and fostering a drug-free environment in the region.
