Mandi District Hosts First Visit of Newly Appointed Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress President Chhatar Singh Thakur.

The newly appointed Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress President, Chhatar Singh Thakur, embarked on his first visit to Mandi district today. The visit saw the presence of key figures from the Youth Congress, including the Presidents and entire executive bodies from all 10 constituencies of the district. This marked a significant milestone as it was Thakur’s first tour of Mandi since taking over as the state president.
The meeting was chaired by Nikhil Thakur, the District Youth Congress President of Mandi. Along with Chhatar Singh Thakur, the gathering was graced by various prominent members of the Youth Congress, including state Vice President Tarun Thakur, former Yuva Congress Legal Cell Chairman Prashant Sen, former State Secretary Baldev Thakur, District Secretary Rakesh Jamwal, Mandi Sadar Assembly President Yogesh Patyal, State Secretary Sahil Thakur, State General Secretary Dinesh Patyal, and various other leaders including Youth Congress Presidents and office bearers from different constituencies.
The focus of the meeting was to outline upcoming programs of the Youth Congress, particularly emphasizing a campaign against the growing issue of substance abuse in society. A comprehensive action plan for this initiative was discussed, highlighting the Youth Congress’s commitment to tackling drug abuse and spreading awareness across communities.
Special guests at the event included former State General Secretary of the Congress Party, Chet Ram Thakur, and Mandi Sadar Assembly candidate, Champa Thakur, who both attended to show their support.
This visit set the stage for future Youth Congress initiatives aimed at strengthening the party’s influence in the region and working toward community welfare, particularly in combating social issues like drug addiction.
