CM Sukhu Reviews Security Readiness Amid India-Pakistan Tensions; Urges Public to Stay Calm, Alert.

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat today to assess the state’s preparedness. The meeting, held at around 1 PM, was attended by senior officers and top administrative officials.

During the session, the Chief Minister issued key directives aimed at strengthening security protocols, particularly in sensitive border districts. He assured the public that the State Government is closely monitoring developments and is fully prepared to meet any emerging challenges.

Addressing the media after the meeting, CM Sukhu confirmed reports of drone and missile debris being discovered in some parts of the state. “Yes, such debris has been found, but there is no reason to panic. Our agencies are vigilant and taking appropriate action,” he stated.

He further emphasized that Himachal Pradesh is coordinating closely with neighboring states to ensure uniform implementation of border security protocols. “All instructions issued by the Union Government are being strictly followed,” he added.

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to public safety, stating, “Keeping the situation in view, the State Government is taking all necessary measures.” He appealed to citizens to remain calm, alert, and cooperative with authorities.

Security has been tightened in key areas and emergency preparedness plans have been activated to ensure the safety and well-being of the public. The government has also ramped up surveillance and communication with central agencies to stay ahead of any potential threats.

The Chief Minister concluded by urging people to avoid spreading rumors and to rely only on official communication for updates.
