Education Minister Rohit Thakur Inspects Schools in Pangi, Reviews Facilities for Students.

Directs officials to improve educational infrastructure and ensure quality learning opportunities in remote tribal areas.

Shimla:

Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur inspected several educational institutions in the tribal area of Pangi to assess the educational facilities available to students and review the quality of education being provided in the region.

During his visit, the minister inspected the Girls’ Ashram at Killar headquarters, Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School and Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Government Senior Secondary School, Killar. He subsequently visited Government Senior Secondary School, Sach, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Sach.

During the inspections, Thakur interacted directly with students to learn about their studies, academic activities and the facilities available at their respective institutions. He also reviewed the educational environment and assessed whether students were receiving the necessary support and resources for their academic development.

The minister issued strict directions to the concerned officials to ensure a better learning environment for students and bring continuous improvements in the quality of education. He emphasised the importance of providing adequate educational facilities and creating conditions that enable students to achieve their full academic potential.

The visit assumes significance as students in remote tribal areas often face geographical and infrastructural challenges in accessing educational opportunities. Residential schools and other educational institutions play an important role in ensuring access to schooling for children living in geographically difficult regions.

Thakur reiterated that the state government is fully committed to providing high-quality education to every child, including those living in remote and tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh.

He stressed that improving educational standards and ensuring access to better facilities remain key priorities of the government, with a focus on making quality education accessible to students irrespective of their geographical location.
