Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship student outreach programme, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, has achieved a historic milestone by earning a Guinness World Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The achievement recognises the record-breaking 3.53 crore valid registrations received during the 8th edition of PPC, hosted on the MyGov platform.

Launched in 2018 by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with MyGov, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a transformative platform that fosters a positive and stress-free outlook towards examinations. The 2025 edition saw unprecedented participation, underscoring the country’s growing commitment to holistic, inclusive, and joyful education.

Celebration of a Record-Breaking Initiative

The official Guinness World Record certificate was formally presented during a ceremony held in New Delhi, attended by senior leaders and stakeholders:

  • Union Education Minister  Dharmendra Pradhan
  • Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways and I&B Ashwini Vaishnaw
  • Union Minister of State for Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada
  • Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy Sanjay Kumar
  • CEO, MyGov Nand Kumarum
  • Official Guinness adjudicator Rishi Nath, who validated the record

Transforming Exams into a Festival of Learning

In his remarks, Dharmendra Pradhan hailed Pariksha Pe Charcha as a “national approach to examinations”, stating that PM Modi has transformed stress-filled exam seasons into celebrations of learning and personal growth. He shared that PPC 2025 was viewed over 21 crore times across various media platforms, highlighting the programme’s growing impact and relevance.

Public Trust and Nationwide Participation

Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasised that PPC brings together students, parents, and educators in a unique and meaningful way. “The Guinness World Record is a testament to the strong public trust and the initiative’s wide-reaching influence,” he said, adding that this aligns with the opportunities available to students during this Amrit Kaal of national development.

Jitin Prasada praised MyGov’s role in deepening citizen engagement, stating that the recognition reinforces how technology can be leveraged for inclusive governance and educational empowerment.

A Movement, Not Just a Programme

Rooted in the vision of NEP 2020, Pariksha Pe Charcha promotes a shift from rote learning to experiential, stress-free education. It has grown into a nationwide movement that empowers students to overcome challenges such as exam pressure, digital distractions, and time management.

At its core, the programme is built around direct interaction between PM Modi and young learners, where he shares personal insights, strategies for success, and encouragement to students, parents, and educators alike.

Building a Viksit Bharat Through Education

Ministers lauded the collective efforts of educators, institutions, students, and citizens in making PPC 2025 a success. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening participatory governance, student well-being, and transformational learning practices that will propel India toward the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
