In a show of solidarity and support towards disaster-affected communities in Himachal Pradesh, Congress leader from Jogindernagar Jeevan Thakur today presented a cheque of Rs. 1,56,101 to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the State Disaster Relief Fund.

In a separate contribution, Dr. Shweta Dogra, representing the Himachal Pradesh Dental Health Services and Welfare Committee, Baijnath (District Kangra), handed over a cheque of Rs. 25,000 to the Chief Minister to aid in relief and rehabilitation efforts.

The Chief Minister warmly thanked both contributors for their gesture, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in times of crisis.

“Every contribution, big or small, is a step towards rebuilding lives. This support will go a long way in helping the needy and affected families,” said CM Sukhu.

These contributions come as Himachal Pradesh continues to recover from recent natural calamities that have caused widespread damage across several regions. The state government has been actively seeking public and institutional support to strengthen relief and reconstruction efforts.
