Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled a major developmental push in the Doon Assembly Constituency of Solan district today, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 12 key projects totaling Rs. 383 crore during his one-day visit. The announcements span crucial sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and power supply, signaling accelerated growth for the rapidly developing Baddi–Barotiwala–Nalagarh (BBN) industrial belt.

During the visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built Baddi–Sai–Ramshehar road, a significant infrastructure upgrade constructed at a cost of Rs. 86 crore aimed at improving regional connectivity and easing industrial transportation. He also inaugurated tube wells worth Rs. 15.78 crore in the Doon area, expected to enhance water availability for the local population.

In the healthcare sector, CM Sukhu inaugurated the Rs. 10.64 crore Civil Hospital at Baddi and the newly constructed Rs. 3.15 crore Community Health Centre (CHC) building at Barotiwala, projects that will strengthen medical services in the region. Additionally, he opened newly established Government Primary Schools at Haripur Sandholi, Suraj Majra, Lubana and Chakkan under the Baddi Educational Block, reaffirming the state government’s focus on improving foundational education.

Among the major foundation stones laid, the Chief Minister launched the Rs. 73.21 crore Quality and Reliable Power Supply Scheme for Baddi, aimed at ensuring uninterrupted and efficient power for both industrial and domestic consumers. He also laid the foundation stones for the Rs. 63.73 crore Baddi–Shitalpur–Jagatkhana road, the much-awaited Rs. 40 crore Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Baddi, and the Rs. 37.67 crore Mini Secretariat building that will streamline administrative functioning in the area.

Other projects include the Rs. 37.10 crore sewerage scheme for left-out areas of Baddi, which will improve sanitation infrastructure, and the Rs. 5 crore Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School at Kalyanpur, Baddi, aimed at expanding quality schooling options.

CM Sukhu said the initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across emerging industrial hubs while addressing public service needs such as healthcare, education, roads, and utility infrastructure. He added that the projects will not only boost economic growth but also significantly improve ease of living for residents.

The inaugural events were attended by senior officials, public representatives, and large numbers of local residents who welcomed the development boost to the constituency.
