904 candidates to contest elections across 08 States/UTs going for polls in Phase 7 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

904 candidates are set to contest elections across 8 States/Union Territories in Phase 7 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, slated for polling on June 1, 2024.
A total of 2,105 nomination forms were filed for 57 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) in these regions. The deadline for filing nominations for Phase 7 in all 8 States/UTs was May 14, 2024. Following scrutiny, 954 nominations were deemed valid.
Punjab led with the highest number of nomination forms, with 598 from 13 Parliamentary Constituencies, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 495 nominations from 13 PCs.
In Bihar, the Jahanabad Parliamentary Constituency received the highest number of 73 nomination forms, while Ludhiana PC in Punjab followed closely with 70 nomination forms. On average, each Parliamentary Constituency in Phase 7 will have 16 contesting candidates.
