CM Sukhu Expresses Grief Over Dharamshala College Student’s Death, Assures Time-Bound and Transparent Probe.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the tragic demise of a young girl student of Government Degree College, Dharamshala, and assured the bereaved family of swift and strict justice in the case.
Demonstrating personal concern and solidarity, the Chief Minister spoke to the parents of the deceased over the phone late Saturday evening and conveyed his heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. The telephonic conversation was facilitated by Minister for Youth Services and Sports Yadvinder Goma.
During the interaction, Chief Minister Sukhu expressed anguish over the incident and reiterated the State Government’s zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, injustice and any form of wrongdoing in educational institutions. He assured the family of all possible support and assistance from the government.
The Chief Minister informed that an FIR has been registered against an Associate Professor and three fellow students in connection with the case. To ensure a fair, impartial and transparent investigation, the Associate Professor concerned has been placed under suspension as a preliminary measure, pending the outcome of the inquiry and disciplinary proceedings under the prescribed service conduct rules.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to justice, Chief Minister Sukhu assured the family that the investigation would be transparent, rigorous and time-bound, and that strict action would be taken against all those found guilty. He emphasized that the State Government stands firmly with the bereaved family and will ensure accountability at every level.
“The government is with the family in this hour of grief and will ensure that justice is delivered without delay,” the Chief Minister said, reiterating that safeguarding students and upholding justice remain top priorities of the State Government.
