Expressing pride in being part of the prestigious camp for the fourth consecutive year, General Chauhan praised the cadets for maintaining high standards of discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm. He remarked that each visit to the RDC brings a renewed sense of patriotism, energy, and commitment among the young cadets.

Highlighting the importance of vision and determination in life, the CDS advised cadets to choose the right path at an early stage. “If you take the right path, you reach the right destination. It is important to choose the right path today,” he said. Sharing insights from his own professional journey, he encouraged cadets to consider careers in the armed forces and to contribute actively towards building a Samridhh, Sashakt, and Surakshit Bharat by 2047. Addressing the cadets, he described them as the “future leaders of Viksit Bharat.”

General Chauhan also underscored the significance of the month of January, calling it a period rich in national pride and historical importance. He referred to key national observances including National Youth Day on January 12, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda; Veteran’s Day on January 14; Army Day on January 15; Parakram Diwas on January 23 marking the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose; Republic Day on January 26 celebrating the adoption of the Constitution; and Martyr’s Day on January 30. He noted that these occasions collectively reflect India’s struggle for independence, republican values, and the true spirit of nationalism.

The CDS appreciated the immaculate Guard of Honour presented by cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Wing, as well as the melodious band performance by cadets of Sainik School Ghorakhal, Uttarakhand. He was also impressed by the energy and confidence displayed by the cadets during the vibrant and culturally diverse performances. He lauded their efforts in spreading social awareness through the ‘Flag Area’ initiative.

General Chauhan further praised the cadets for their presentations on aero and naval models, drone displays, and technological demonstrations, highlighting how these activities reflect the discipline, innovation, and technological aptitude of the future generation.

Concluding his address, the Chief of Defence Staff urged the cadets to act in the present rather than waiting for tomorrow to pursue their goals. He encouraged them to maintain a positive, optimistic outlook in life and to remain committed to serving the nation with integrity and purpose.
