International Women’s Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Bhuttico Auditorium In kullu.

The spirit of empowerment and celebration marked the observance of International Women’s Day at the Bhuttico Auditorium in Kullu district, where hundreds of women working with the organization gathered to participate in a vibrant and inspiring event. The program was graced by former Zila Parishad member Premlata Thakur, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Welcoming the chief guest, former minister Thakur Satya Prakash congratulated the women on the occasion and praised their achievements. In his address, he emphasized that women today are no less capable than men and have proven their competence by excelling in various fields and holding prestigious positions. He said that modern women have set new examples through their dedication, talent, and determination.

During the event, several women were honored for their remarkable contributions and achievements. Poonam was awarded the title of Best Woman Weaver, Indra Devi received recognition for Successful Cooperation, Kala Devi was honored as Outstanding Female Employee, Nirmala Devi was recognized as Inclusive Woman Weaver, and Dolma Devi was awarded the title of Inspirational Woman Weaver.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Premlata Thakur spoke about the historical challenges faced by women in a male-dominated society. She noted that for a long time women were overlooked, but with changing times their status and recognition in society have significantly improved. She said that women had to wait for many years to achieve the respect and equality they enjoy today. Expressing happiness over the progress, she added that women are now leading independent and progressive lives both within families and in society.
The event concluded on a colorful note as women presented cultural performances at the Bhuttico Auditorium, adding vibrancy and grace to the celebration. The enthusiastic participation and performances by the women made the occasion memorable and highlighted the importance of recognizing their contributions to society.
