BJP Leader Rakesh Jamwal Predicts Setback for ruling Congress in Panchayat Polls in Himachal.

Shimla:

BJP leader Rakesh Jamwal on Tuesday claimed that the ruling Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is facing strong public resentment and will suffer a setback in the upcoming Panchayat elections in the state. Jamwal alleged that the CM Sukhu-led government has failed to deliver on key promises and has taken several anti-people decisions.

He criticized the government for allegedly discontinuing welfare measures such as the Himcare health scheme, saying it has left many poor families without access to proper medical care. Jamwal also accused the government of increasing the financial burden on citizens by withdrawing electricity subsidies and failing to fulfill its promise of providing Rs. 1,500 per month to women.

Highlighting broader governance issues, he said development works have slowed down, institutions are being shut, and employment opportunities for youth are shrinking. He further alleged a decline in law and order, claiming that people feel increasingly unsafe.

Jamwal asserted that voters are ready to respond and that the elections will reveal widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration.
