Himachal’s Digital Governance Initiatives Win National Recognition; CM Sukhu Lauds DDTG Efforts.

The Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DDTG), Himachal Pradesh, has earned multiple prestigious national awards for its innovative e-Governance initiatives and citizen-centric digital platforms, further strengthening the state’s reputation in digital governance and public service delivery.
The awards were formally presented to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla by DDTG Secretary Ashish Singhmar and Director Nipun Jindal.
HimParivar Bags Prestigious ET GovTech Award
Among the major recognitions, the department’s flagship initiative, HimParivar, received the prestigious ET GovTech Award 2026 (Silver Winner) under the category “Best State-Level e-Governance Initiative” by The Economic Times. The award recognizes outstanding innovation in governance through technology and digital public services.
The HimParivar platform has emerged as a key digital governance tool in the state by enabling integrated citizen databases and streamlining the delivery of government welfare schemes and services.
Survey Platform Wins SKOCH Award
The department’s innovative Survey Platform also received the SKOCH Award 2025 from the SKOCH Group for excellence in the e-Governance category. The platform was recognized for facilitating efficient digital surveys and promoting data-driven governance mechanisms across departments.
In addition, the department’s major digital initiatives including HimParivar, HimAccess Single Sign-On (SSO), and the Survey Platform were also honoured with the SKOCH Order of Merit recognition.
CM Appreciates Department’s Efforts
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated the DDTG department for ensuring transparent, prompt and secure digital services to the people of the state.
He said that the state government remains committed to leveraging technology and innovation for providing efficient, transparent and accessible public services. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the department would continue working towards the vision of a digitally empowered Himachal Pradesh through integrated platforms, seamless citizen services and data-driven governance.
“The government is focused on utilizing modern technology to simplify governance and improve public service delivery. Such recognitions inspire departments to work with greater dedication towards digital transformation,” he remarked.
Recognition of Continuous Innovation
Speaking on the occasion, DDTG Secretary Ashish Singhmar said that the awards reflect the department’s continuous efforts to build robust, scalable and citizen-focused digital platforms in Himachal Pradesh.
He emphasized that the department would continue strengthening digital infrastructure and introducing innovative governance solutions to improve administrative efficiency and citizen convenience.
Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar and other senior officers of the department were also present during the occasion.
