HPBOSE Class 10 Results 2026: Pass Percentage Reaches 83.87%, Girls Dominate Merit List.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Sunday declared the Class 10 examination results for the March 2026 session, recording an overall pass percentage of 83.87 per cent. The results reflected a strong performance by students across the state, with girls overwhelmingly dominating the merit list.
According to the board, a total of 93,661 students appeared for the matriculation examination this year. Out of these, 78,150 students successfully cleared the exam, while 8,433 candidates were placed in the compartment category. Another 6,559 students failed to qualify.
Announcing the results, HPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said that 48,097 boys and 45,079 girls had appeared in the examination. Of them, 39,701 boys and 38,449 girls passed the examination.
Girls Shine in Merit List
The merit list this year featured 107 students, including an impressive 83 girls, underlining the strong academic performance of female students in the state.
Topping the state was Anmol from A V M Senior Secondary School, who secured the first position with 699 marks out of 700, achieving 99.86 per cent.
The second rank was jointly secured by three students with 698 marks (99.71 per cent). These students are:
Roohani Dhiman of Government Senior Secondary School
Purnima Sharma of Government Girls Senior Secondary School
Abhinav Mehta of Government Senior Secondary School
The third position was jointly bagged by:
Alisha Thakur of Oxford School
Ashwika of Neelam Public School
Both students scored 697 marks, translating to 99.57 per cent.
Four Students Share Fourth Rank
Four students jointly secured the fourth position with 696 marks (99.43 per cent). They include:

Eight Students Secure Fifth Rank
Eight students shared the fifth rank with 695 marks (99.29 per cent). They are:

Re-evaluation Process Open Till May 25
Congratulating students, teachers and parents on the successful results, Dr Sharma said the board remained committed to transparency and quality in the examination system. He also encouraged students who could not clear the examination to prepare for the supplementary exams with confidence and determination.
The board has uploaded the results on its official website, where students can also apply online for re-evaluation and re-checking of answer sheets till May 25.
