Two Daughters of Tirthan Valley Bring Glory to Banjar Region with Admission to Prestigious Institutions.

Two daughters from Dehuri village in the Tirthan Valley of Banjar subdivision, Kullu district, have brought pride to their family and the entire Banjar region by securing admission to prestigious higher educational institutions through their hard work, dedication and academic talent.
Pranjali Sharma and Parul Sharma, daughters of Saya Sharma and Jyoti Sharma, have achieved this remarkable success despite coming from a rural background. Pranjali has secured admission to Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, for the Bachelor of Horticulture programme for the academic session 2026-27. Her sister Parul has been selected for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) programme at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, for the academic session 2025-26.
Their achievement has brought immense happiness to their family, Dehuri village, Gram Panchayat Kalwari and people across the Tirthan Valley and Banjar region. Their success is also being seen as an inspiration for other students, particularly girls from rural areas.
Completed School Education in Banjar
Both Pranjali and Parul completed their schooling in Banjar itself. They received their education from the primary level up to Class 10 at Minerva Public School, Banjar. Thereafter, both sisters completed their Class 12 education with the non-medical stream from Government Senior Secondary School, Banjar.
After completing their school education, the sisters continued to pursue their academic goals with determination and secured admission to reputed higher educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
Their journey is being appreciated by local residents as an example of how students from rural areas can achieve success at prestigious institutions without having to leave their hometowns during their school years.
Pranjali and Parul Also Pursue Creative Interests
Apart from academics, both sisters have diverse interests and hobbies.

Their mother, Jyoti Sharma, is a homemaker. She has played an important role in managing the family and supporting the education and aspirations of both daughters.
