Education Minister Rohit Thakur Attends Rathal Jatar, Reviews Development Projects in Bholad.

Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur attended the concluding ceremony of the historic district-level Rathal Jatar at Bholad Gram Panchayat in Jubbal subdivision as the chief guest, highlighting the importance of preserving the region’s traditional dev culture and heritage.
During the religious gathering, Thakur sought blessings from four revered local deities—Devta Pawasi Mahasu Maharaj, Devta Banad Maharaj, Devta Deshmauliya Maharaj and Devta Gudaru Maharaj. Extending greetings to residents and devotees attending the festival, he said the region’s rich deity tradition and cultural heritage remain an integral part of its identity.
Before participating in the Jatar, Thakur attended several development-related programmes in Bholad aimed at strengthening local infrastructure and public facilities.
He performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the upgradation of the Jarla-Kyara-Bhanwa road. The upgraded road is expected to improve connectivity and provide greater convenience to farmers, orchardists and residents of the area, particularly in transporting agricultural and horticultural produce.
Thakur also inspected the ongoing construction of the Primary Health Centre at Bholad and reviewed the progress of the project. He directed the concerned officials to ensure that construction work is completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining quality standards.
In another initiative focused on youth welfare, Thakur inaugurated a newly constructed gym at Bholad village and dedicated the facility to the public. He said the gym would provide local youth with better opportunities to maintain fitness and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Thakur reiterated that the overall development of Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai, along with preservation of its ancient deity culture and traditions, remains among his key priorities.
