NSDC, Cultus Education Launch Nationwide Cloud and AI Skilling Initiative with AWS Support.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, in partnership with Cultus Education, has launched a nationwide cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) skilling initiative in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The programme aims to equip 150,000 learners with foundational cloud and AI literacy through AWS digital training content, while providing 10,000 participants with intensive, job-ready training through the AWS re/Start programme and other AWS learning resources.
The initiative will focus particularly on young people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, covering all states and Union Territories. Delivered entirely online through Cultus Education, the NSDC-selected delivery partner, the programme seeks to address gaps in access to advanced technology training, industry connections and recognised credentials outside major metropolitan centres.
Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, said empowering youth in smaller towns with future-ready skills was essential to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He said access to opportunities should not be determined by geography or background.
The AWS re/Start programme will provide structured training in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, programming, databases and AI fundamentals through instructor-led classes, hands-on labs and real-world scenarios.
Successful participants will have the opportunity to earn an AWS Certification and access qualified interview opportunities through connections with local employers.
The initiative will culminate in a National Hackathon, where participants will showcase cloud and AI solutions to industry leaders and potential employers.
Rani Burchmore of AWS said the partnership would help build a diverse and future-ready cloud workforce, while Cultus Education Group Managing Director Nalin Singh emphasised connecting learning with credentials and meaningful career opportunities.
Prashant Sinha, Chief Operating Officer, NSDC, was also present at the launch.
