Former CPS Sohan Lal Thakur Inaugurates Under-19 Sports Competition in Sundernagar.

Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary and senior Congress leader from Sundernagar, Sohan Lal Thakur, on Tuesday inaugurated the Under-19 sports competition at the Government Excellent Senior Secondary School, Sundernagar in Mandi district.
The sporting event has brought together young athletes from across the area, with 29 teams and around 450 students participating in various competitions. Thakur interacted with the participating players during the inaugural programme and extended his best wishes to all the young athletes for their performance.
Addressing the participants, Thakur urged the students to compete with sportsmanship, discipline and dedication, and encouraged them to give their best while maintaining the true spirit of competition.
He said that sporting events provide young people with an important platform to showcase their talent and develop qualities that are valuable both on and off the field. According to him, sports are not merely about winning or losing but play a significant role in building discipline, self-confidence, leadership qualities and team spirit among students.
Thakur called upon the young participants to use the opportunity to further hone their sporting abilities and bring laurels to their respective schools, institutions and the Sundernagar region through their performances.
He also wished all the teams and individual participants success in the competition and expressed hope that the event would encourage more students to take an active interest in sports and physical activities.
The participation of nearly 450 young athletes in the Under-19 competition reflects the growing enthusiasm among students towards sporting activities and provides them with an opportunity to compete, learn and develop their skills in a healthy and disciplined environment.
