DAVCPS Mandi Hosts State-Level Aerobics & Swimming Tournament 2026; Athletes Shine with Outstanding Performances.
Prize Distribution Ceremony Celebrates Sporting Excellence, Perseverance and Sportsmanship.

The State-Level Aerobics & Swimming Tournament–2026, organised at DAV Centenary Public School (DAVCPS), Mandi, under the aegis of DAV Sports, concluded with a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony marked by enthusiasm, pride and celebration of sporting excellence. The tournament brought together young athletes from various DAV schools, who displayed remarkable talent, determination, discipline and sportsmanship across aerobics and swimming events.
The Aerobics Championship witnessed an impressive performance by the host school. DAV Mandi secured 1st Rank in the Under-14 Boys Artistic Category with a score of 13.6, followed by DAV Solan in second position with 12.8. In the Under-14 Girls Artistic Category, DAV Mandi once again emerged at the top with 13.6, while DAV Nadaun secured second position with 12.6 and DAV New Shimla stood third with 12.4.
In the Under-17 Girls Category, DAV Mandi secured the top position with 13.07, followed by DAV Solan with 13.5 and DAV Duttnagar with 12.1. In the Under-19 Girls Category, DAV Mandi secured 1st Rank with 13.6, while DAV Solan finished second with 13.0. The performances reflected the participants’ rigorous preparation, coordination and confidence.
The Swimming Championship was equally competitive, with young swimmers producing commendable performances in different age groups and events.
In the Under-14 100m Butterfly, Raghav Rana of DAV Mandi clinched the Gold Medal with a timing of 2:34:10, while Ritvik secured the Silver Medal with 2:45:56. In the Under-14 100m Freestyle, Rihdant of DAV Mandi won Gold with 1:27:77, followed by Dhanish with Silver in 2:01:91 and Soorya with Bronze in 2:35:65.
Maulik Pant of DAV Ner Chowk secured Gold in the Under-19 100m Freestyle with a timing of 2:01:91. In the Under-17 200m Freestyle, Rehan emerged victorious with Gold in 3:32:88, while Arnav Sharma won Silver with 5:03:00.
The Under-14 100m Breaststroke saw Rihdant claim Gold with 1:48:03, followed by Advik Thakur with Silver in 2:34:18 and Raghav Rana with Bronze in 2:53:03. In the Under-17 100m Freestyle, Rehan again secured Gold with 1:36:85, while Arnav Sharma won Silver with 3:34:25.
In the Under-14 50m Freestyle, Rihdant won Gold with 0:36:93, Dhanish secured Silver with 0:50:44, and Viraj Singh of DAV Palampur won Bronze with 0:51:65. In the Under-14 50m Breaststroke, Rihdant once again topped the event with 0:47:69, followed by Bhavarth with Silver in 1:11:25 and Advik Thakur with Bronze in 1:13:62.
The Under-14 50m Backstroke saw Raghav Rana secure Gold with 1:18:19, while Soorya won Silver with 1:18:91 and Krishang secured Bronze with 1:31:94. In the Under-17 50m Freestyle, Rehan claimed Gold with 0:42:06, Aarush won Silver with 0:45:25, and Harshit secured Bronze with 0:45:69.
Adding another distinction to DAV Mandi’s impressive performance, Rihdant Madhotra of DAVCPS Mandi (Cluster-3) was adjudged Best Swimmer (Boys). Cluster-3 also lifted the Overall Trophy, reflecting its strong performance across the swimming championship.
In the girls’ swimming events, Medha Kalia of DAV Sundar Nagar emerged as the Gold Medal winner in the Under-14 50m Freestyle, clocking 1:01:78, and was also adjudged Best Swimmer (Girls). Avyukta Sharma of DAV Mandi secured the Silver Medal with a timing of 1:08:32.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was graced by Dr. V. K. Yadav, Manager, DAVCPS Mandi and Assistant Regional Officer, HP Zone-D, and R. S. Rana, Principal, DAV Public School, Kullu, Cluster Head and Observer of the event. K. S. Guleria, Principal, DAVCPS Mandi and ARO, HP Zone-C, also graced the occasion as the Host Principal.
The dignitaries felicitated the meritorious sportspersons with medals, certificates and accolades, appreciating their commitment, discipline, perseverance and competitive spirit. The ceremony also recognised the significant contribution of coaches, teachers and officials, whose guidance and dedicated efforts played an important role in the successful organisation of the tournament.
The event concluded amidst an atmosphere of pride and jubilation. Beyond the medals and podium finishes, the tournament highlighted the enduring values of discipline, teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship and self-belief. The outstanding performances of the young athletes served as an inspiration for fellow students to pursue sporting excellence alongside academic and personal growth.
