Rakesh Jamwal Raises Pension Delays, Healthcare and Development Issues During Sundernagar Visit.
Shimla:
BJP Himachal Pradesh chief spokesperson and Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal raised concerns over delayed social security pensions, healthcare facilities and stalled development works during his visit to Jaral, Bandli, Badaihan and Wajihan gram panchayats in the Sundernagar Assembly constituency of Mandi district today
During his public outreach programme, Jamwal interacted with residents and listened to their grievances. He alleged that pensions for elderly people, widows, persons with disabilities and other eligible beneficiaries had remained pending for over six months, causing difficulties for those dependent on the assistance for daily expenses and medicines.
He urged the state government to release the pending payments promptly and clarify the reasons for the delay.
Jamwal also raised concerns over the closure of the Primary Health Centre in Bandli, stating that it had been established during the previous BJP government to improve healthcare access in the region. He said its reopening had been assured in the Assembly but remained pending.
Criticising the Congress government, the MLA alleged that roads, healthcare services and development activities were facing neglect. He also questioned the government’s priorities and called for greater accountability.
Jamwal said the BJP would continue raising public grievances, adding that pension payments, healthcare facilities and rural development would remain important issues in the coming Assembly elections.
