New Delhi:

The third Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) meeting between India and Kenya took place in New Delhi today. The discussions covered a broad spectrum of defence cooperation, including military collaboration, training, defence industries, and research and development.

The Kenyan delegation engaged with Indian defence industry representatives in Delhi and is scheduled to visit Pune to gain firsthand experience of India’s defence capabilities. This visit highlights the ongoing commitment to strengthening defence ties under the framework established by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Defence Cooperation, signed in July 2016.

The JDCC serves as a crucial platform for in-depth discussions on defence issues, aiming to advance mutual interests. The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary Amitabh Prasad, while Major General David Kipkemboi Ketter represented Kenya.
