PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Bharat Renewable Energy Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
Four-day global event to bring together representatives from over 130 countries, more than 40 ministers and 400 exhibitors; 13 States and UTs to showcase renewable energy potential and investment opportunities
New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today (November 2) at around 4:30 PM. He will also address the gathering, marking the beginning of one of India’s major international events focused on renewable energy, clean energy investments and technological advancements.
The four-day summit, scheduled to be held from November 2 to 5, will be organised under the theme ‘Invest. Innovate. Inspire.’ It aims to bring together global policymakers, investors, financial institutions, industry leaders and technology experts to strengthen international cooperation and accelerate the transition towards clean and sustainable energy.
Bharat Renewable Energy Summit 2026 is expected to witness participation from more than 130 countries, including over 40 ministers. The event will provide an important international platform for promoting investment opportunities, facilitating industry partnerships and encouraging collaboration in emerging renewable energy technologies.
Nine countries and regional partners will participate in the summit. These include Australia, Denmark, the European Union, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Their participation is expected to strengthen international engagement and create opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy development, manufacturing and technological innovation.
Thirteen States and Union Territories will also showcase their renewable energy potential, investment opportunities and manufacturing capabilities during the event. These include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The summit will provide these States and UTs with an opportunity to highlight their renewable energy policies, ongoing projects, infrastructure and investment-friendly initiatives before international investors and industry representatives.
Three major global clean energy platforms to come together
An important feature of Bharat RE 2026 will be its association with two other significant international events — the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH).
While Bharat Renewable Energy Summit will primarily focus on investment, industry engagement and technological partnerships across the clean energy sector, the International Solar Alliance Assembly will work towards strengthening international cooperation in solar energy, including financing and institutional capacity-building.
The International Conference on Green Hydrogen will focus on advancements in green hydrogen technologies, investment opportunities and strategies for expanding production and deployment.
The combined organisation of these three platforms is expected to strengthen international cooperation and accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions across different sectors.
More than 400 exhibitors to showcase advanced technologies
The Expo will be another major attraction of the four-day event, featuring more than 400 exhibitors showcasing advanced technologies, Indian manufacturing capabilities and innovative clean energy solutions.
The exhibition will cover a wide range of sectors, including solar power, wind energy, green hydrogen, energy storage and other emerging renewable energy technologies. It will provide an opportunity for domestic and international companies to present their products, innovations and technological capabilities while exploring potential business partnerships.
The event will also host plenary sessions, ministerial discussions, CEO roundtables and country- and state-level sessions. Business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G) and government-to-government (G2G) engagements will form an important part of the programme, facilitating investment discussions, project development and strategic partnerships.
Building on India’s renewable energy investment initiatives
Bharat RE 2026 builds on the legacy of RE-INVEST, India’s flagship renewable energy investment summit. The expanded platform aims to strengthen India’s position in the global clean energy landscape while attracting investments, encouraging innovation and promoting cooperation among countries.
With participation from governments, international organisations, investors and leading companies, the summit is expected to provide fresh momentum to renewable energy investments and technological development.
Through the four-day event, India aims to promote collaboration in solar and wind energy, green hydrogen, energy storage and other emerging technologies while creating new opportunities for sustainable development and clean energy deployment.
