India-UAE Partnership Poised for New Heights: Piyush Goyal at UAE-India Business Forum.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, emphasized the transformative potential of the India-UAE relationship, calling it the defining friendship and brotherhood of the decade and beyond. Speaking at the UAE-India Business Forum in Mumbai, Goyal highlighted the significance of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit during the Ganapati Festival, marking the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral ties.

Goyal noted that the partnership between India and the UAE is underpinned by innovation, investment, and sustainable development. He praised the ongoing high-level exchanges, citing the Crown Prince’s visit as the sixth in under a year, reflecting the deepening relationship. The Minister affirmed that this partnership aligns with the UAE’s 50-year vision and India’s Viksit Bharat@2047 transformational journey.

Highlighting key initiatives, Goyal lauded the local currency settlement, the establishment of Bharat Mart in JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone), Dubai, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which he described as game changers for expanding trade. He also emphasized the role of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in advancing the relationship and encouraged exploration of new investment opportunities.

In his address, Goyal commended the Crown Prince for his leadership and noted the symbolic significance of his visit to Rajghat, where he planted a sapling, continuing a legacy of his father and grandfather. The forum, themed ‘Beyond CEPA: Innovation and Future-Ready Economies,’ focused on opportunities in healthcare, biotechnology, renewable energy, and sustainability.
