The Crown Prince arrived in New Delhi on September 8 and was warmly welcomed by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry. During his visit, he held significant bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and explored avenues for deeper collaboration in sectors such as nuclear energy, green hydrogen, and artificial intelligence.

Several key agreements were signed, including:

– An MoU on Nuclear Cooperation between Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NNPCIL) and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), aimed at enhancing cooperation in nuclear power operations and maintenance.
– A long-term LNG supply agreement between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited for 1 million metric tonnes per annum.
– An MoU between ADNOC and India Strategic Petroleum Reserve Limited (ISPRL) to explore additional crude storage opportunities in India.

In addition to his meetings, the Crown Prince met with President Droupadi Murmu and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, continuing a unique tradition of UAE leaders planting saplings at the site.

Tomorrow, Sheikh Khaled will travel to Mumbai to participate in the India-UAE Business Forum, where he will engage with business leaders and officials to discuss future cooperation. The forum will also mark the soft launch of the India-UAE virtual trade corridor (VTC) and MAITRI interface to facilitate trade relations.
