A jailed Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is found dead in the prison of Russia today, which shocked the world as well as his supporters in Russia. He was a strong critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The 47-year-old jailed Alexei Navalny, the critic of President Putin was in a Russian jail since 2021 on charges widely viewed as politically motivated around the world.

US President Joe Biden held Vladimir Putin responsible for the death of opposition politician  Navalny.

Navalny’s wife, Yulia Navalnaya said that she is shocked to hear this horrible news. She said that “I does not know whether this horrible news is true.”

A spokesman of Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian’s penitentiary service was looking into Navalny’s death.

In August, Navalny was found guilty of founding and funding an extremist organisation, which he denies, and was given an extra 19 years in jail.

He had already been sentenced to nine years for parole violations, fraud and contempt of court.

He always targeted the Russian President Vladimir Putin, which made him strong opponent of Putin. Since then he was on the target of Russian President Putin.
