Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects worth Rs. 919 crore in Gujarat today. The event, attended by Chief Minister  Bhupendra Patel and other dignitaries, focused on enhancing infrastructure and facilities in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas.

Home Minister highlighted the significance of the projects, which include initiatives related to health, education, libraries, parks, and support for small street vendors. A key highlight was the construction of modern schools by the Municipal Nagar Prathmik Shiksha Samiti, aimed at improving educational standards for children.

In his address, Amit Shah expressed confidence in the future of India, emphasizing the importance of education and its role in uplifting children from disadvantaged backgrounds. He noted that approximately Rs. 472 crore in projects were inaugurated in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, with an additional Rs. 446 crore in Ahmedabad East and West constituencies.

The Union Home Minister commended the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for its efforts in transforming municipal primary schools into model institutions. He stressed the need for Ahmedabad to strive for the top position in the upcoming cleanliness survey, recognizing the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in turning the cleanliness campaign into a mass movement.

Shah stated that under Modi’s leadership, significant strides have been made in ensuring basic sanitation and clean drinking water access across the nation. He called for collective efforts to foster a culture of cleanliness and elevate Ahmedabad’s status among Indian cities.

With a total of Rs. 37,000 crore in development projects executed in the last five years within the region, the focus remains on further enhancing facilities and improving the quality of life for residents.
