Bhuttico Weaver’s Cooperative Society celebrated its 80th Foundation Day with grand celebrations in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh today. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Bhuttico Vice President Rohit Thakur.

Bhuttico President and former Minister, Satya Prakash Thakur, addressed the gathering through a phone call from Chandigarh, extending his greetings to all officers, staff, and weaver members present. He acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the late Vedram Thakur, the soul of the Bhuttico, whose dedication and visionary leadership laid the strong foundation for Bhuttico’s success.

Thakur also highlighted the many challenges faced by the Bhuttico, including financial losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and natural calamities. Despite these setbacks, he praised the efforts of the leadership, management, and the unwavering support of officers, employees, and weavers, which helped the organization continue its journey. He extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all members on the 80th Foundation Day of Bhuttico.

During the celebrations, a Matki Phod (pot-breaking) competition and a Musical Chair game were organized. Urmila Devi emerged victorious in the Matki Phod event, while in the Musical Chair competition, Kiren Guleria secured first place, Kamla Devi took second, and Anjali Katoch came third. The gathering was further energized by performances of traditional Kulluvi songs and the Nati dance, which encouraged everyone to participate in the celebrations.

Vice President Rohit Thakur also addressed the attendees, urging all weavers and Bhuttico employees to work towards achieving the organization’s goals and expanding its business. He assured that, with increased business growth, efforts would be made to enhance wages and salaries for weavers and staff in the near future.

The event was attended by several distinguished individuals, including Bhuttico Directors Kalawati, Indra Devi, Tikam Ram, Atma Ram, former Vice President of Himbunkar Brahm Swaroop Thakur, General Manager Vijay Thakur, Chief Advisor Ramesh Thakur, General Manager Kishan Chand, Surati Devi, Dinesh Thakur, Anuj Thakur, Kavita Thakur, Neena Thakur, Veena Devi, Mahinder Singh, Surender Singh, and hundreds of weavers and employees.

The day marked a significant milestone in Bhuttico’s history, showcasing the resilience and unity of its community.
