Himachali Boy Creates Viral Punjabi Song, Launched by Kala Records, Making Waves on YouTube.

A 25-year-old boy from the scenic Kandi Kamrunag village in Mandi has created a buzz on YouTube with his Punjabi song, which is currently going viral.

Devrath, who hails from the village under the Goher sub-division of Mandi, revealed that he had written the song two years ago, inspired by the high-end lifestyle of youth, including luxury cars like the Porsche. However, due to financial constraints, he was unable to release the song at that time.

The turning point came when Kala Records, a Himachal-based music company, came to his aid. The company not only recorded the song but also shot its music video, helping Devrath bring his dream to life. The song, which blends Punjabi with a modern hip-hop style, is sung by popular Punjabi artist Yors HR, who has previously worked with Kala Records on other projects. The track has been well-received by listeners and is gaining immense popularity on YouTube, with several fans making reels and sharing the song.

Yors HR, the singer, shared that the response has been overwhelming, with many expressing their love for the track. The video, combining a fusion of Punjabi and English rap, resonates strongly with today’s youth, who enjoy such modern music trends.

Kala Records, under the leadership of founder Raja Singh Malhotra, is known for giving a platform to hidden talents.

Raja Singh Malhotra mentioned that when Devrath presented his song, the company worked on enhancing it and finally released it, with added contributions from US-based rapper J Hind, which further polished the track. He also revealed that Kala Records plans to release more diverse tracks in the future, contributing to the growth of fresh musical talent.
