Tejaswini Singh, a talented cadet from Madhdhar village, makes history as the only “Best Cadet” selected from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh to represent the region at the prestigious National Republic Day Camp (RDC) in Delhi.

Tejaswini Singh, a rising star from Madhdhar village in the Kotmors Gram Panchayat of Mandi district, has been selected for the National Republic Day Camp (RDC) in Delhi. A proud member of the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron from Kullu, Tejaswini is the sole cadet chosen from the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh directorates under the esteemed “Best Cadet” category.

A Family Legacy of NCC Excellence

Tejaswini’s selection is a continuation of a proud family legacy steeped in NCC tradition. Her grandfather, Gurusai Singh, and father, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman Lal Kranti Singh, were both prominent NCC cadets and Senior Under Officers. Currently, her father serves as an Associate NCC Officer at the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron, Kullu, and heads the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Vallabh Government College, Mandi. Her mother, Sharmila Singh, is an AYUSH Pharmacy Officer.

Paving Her Own Path

As a Class 10 student at DAV Centenary Public School in Mandi, Tejaswini has demonstrated outstanding performance across various disciplines, earning her the title of “Best Cadet” from the Himachal Pradesh and Punjab directorates. Her selection to the RDC camp in Delhi is a source of immense pride for the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Exceptional Talent and Performance

Tejaswini’s exceptional abilities in shooting, written examinations, group discussions, drill, flag area briefing, lectures, and cultural activities earned her the coveted “Best Cadet” title. Her success is a testament to her hard work, discipline, and the rigorous training provided by the NCC.

A History of Sporting Achievements

In addition to her NCC accomplishments, Tejaswini has made her mark in sports, particularly martial arts. She has represented Himachal Pradesh in national-level Taekwondo competitions in Panipat and has earned multiple medals in state-level competitions, including gold and silver in Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, and Judo Karate. She also holds a Blue Belt in Karate and has earned a bronze medal in state-level shooting competitions.
