Shimla:

The state government has approved the establishment of a new Labour Welfare Board Office in Balichowki, a remote area in Mandi district, bringing much-needed relief to local residents. The move has been welcomed by Vijay Pal Singh, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Congress Vichar Vibhag, who expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Industry Minister Harsh Mahajan, and Labour Welfare Board Chairman Nardev Singh for their efforts in opening the office.

Singh emphasized that the new office would significantly ease the burden on Balichowki residents, who previously had to travel to Mandi for various labor-related services, consuming both time and money. The establishment of the office will help locals access government welfare schemes more efficiently and without the need for long-distance travel.

The Congress leader revealed that he had met with the Chief Minister and the Chairman of the Labour Welfare Board multiple times to advocate for the establishment of the office. The opening of the office will not only provide better access to government services but also contribute to the overall welfare of the local community.

In a positive development, Singh mentioned that the SDM of Balichowki had already sent a report on the building selection for the office to the Deputy Commissioner of Mandi. The office is expected to begin operations soon, and its presence will greatly benefit the local population, offering them improved access to labor welfare schemes and other essential services.

This initiative is seen as a crucial step in enhancing the efficiency of government services in remote areas, offering tangible benefits to the residents of Balichowki and surrounding regions.
